Sonogram #3

Today was my third sonogram and this time Baby was more cooperative for the doctor, but he didn't want to show off much else. For those who don't know some of the stuff the check out: we looked at his kidneys, bladder, stomach, different parts of his brain, and watching the heart to see that all the chambers are formed and working and then watch that the blood is pumping correctly- a lot of it was pretty basic but watching his heart beat was pretty cool. Not just because it was a heart beating, but it was my little baby's heart that is a little part of me... mild mommy moment. He showed of his hand and wiggled his fingers at us, which was super cute! And while he wouldn't give us a profile picture we got the best picture of his adorable penis! It is just too cute! I have no clue how baby penis works but still very cute! His heart rate is 150BPM, he weights 1 pound 5 ounce (16 ounces in a pound), and he is in the 44% for his development-- all of which is good news!! He gained 10 ounces in the last month... of course I gained a lot more than 10 ounces haha.

As far as I go.. my weight gain is on track and nothing weird or abnormal is going on. The doctor gave me some advice for being on my feet at work and all the pain that is associated with that. During the sonogram they measured the movement of the placenta from my cervix, which doesn't seem to have moved much since last month. At this point there is still plenty of time for it to move as my uterus grows- i will have to have a sonogram at around 34 weeks to decide if I will be able to deliver vaginally or need a c-section.

Overall, everything went pretty well and my little man and I are doing great. My next appointment is the end of September and after that the appointments will be every two weeks.... I have all my appointments till my last month when it will be weekly. It makes it look like it is all going to happen so fast when the appointments are all listed. Ekk...
