25 weeks!

I am now 25 weeks pregnant, YAY! For the next few weeks baby is the size of an EGGPLANT. This week he is measuring in at around 13.5 inches from head to heal and weighing over a pound and a half. He is slowly but surely gaining baby fat- hopefully enough that at 28 weeks we can get a cute 3-D picture of him. As baby fattens up his wrinkled skin will become much smoother, the formation of the capillaries is also beginning to give his skin a healthy pink glow, at this point his hair is growing faster too- if you were to look at it you could see its color and texture now, his eyes are forming and soon he will have perfected blinking. And supposedly if you put your ear up to my belly there is a chance you will be able to hear the baby's heartbeat... of course MY heart is beating so strongly I can't imagine hearing his heartbeat past mine.

It is so crazy how fast this is going- I am starting to get nervous about having everything ready for him, especially since I am doing this alone, which makes for a lot more work - but I can not wait for my little man.

Today I am relaxing all day with NO PLANS! I think I am going to go eat some ice cream now :)
