27 Weeks

I am 27 Weeks along- Baby will be the size of an eggplant for a bit longer; he is almost 2 lbs and 14 1/2 inches. He is sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and can suck on his fingers. More brain tissue has been developing, which is making the brain even more active. His lungs are still immature, but with assistance they could function if he was born now. Any rhythmic movement could possibly be hiccups, which are common for baby from this point on. Don't worry they don't bother him one bit, phew! :)

This little booger is definitely growing or moving or something- it is pretty great when I am sitting around in the morning or at night and he just rolls all around and pushes against my belly. Tonight he had a hand or foot just pushing against my belly and he just moved it slowly across my belly so that I could feel his actual foot (or hand) while it moved along. Really weird, but great too! Now that his movements are bigger it is even more fun (and uncomfortable). I am getting pretty good (i think) at figuring out the movements- what they are, what he is doing, how he is positioned.

One more week till I get to see him in 3-D- I get a bunch of pictures AND they are going to make a video of the whole thing so I can watch it over and over :) I am just counting the moments- tho I have learned to really dislike the actual activity of the sonogram- I can't just lay on my back for that long without feeling like i might pass out. Hopefully it will be better since I don't have to have a full bladder this time!

I have started freaking out about having the baby early- like too early. Which I realize is so unlikely- but it happens and I just don't want anything to happen to my little man. I was driving and thinking about it and got so upset I was crying (shocker)... it is just so scary! Mind you I have no reason to believe this should happen because everything is going great! I am just being a paranoid and overly emotional pregnant woman.

Time for bed- it has been a tiring and still endless work week. I need to get my rest!!
