Doc Visit / Sonogram #5

Today I had a doctor's visit and a sonogram. The sonogram was to check my placenta, which had been a concern because it was close to my cervix, meaning I could need a c-section. The good news is that my placenta has moved up enough that I will have to option of a vaginal delivery. While I am open minded I really want to experience a vaginal delivery- even though I don't feel confident in my ability! After they checked the placenta they checked Baby's development. Everything checked out good, but then the tech said that he looked particularly big and asked if he had been on the bigger side for my past sonograms- and he hasn't been notably big. She also pointed out that his head was a bit on the big side- great to hear after being told that I can now deliver vaginally! It turns out that he is now at 4lbs and 7 ounces... at my last sonogram a month ago he weighed 2lbs and 9 ounces. Allow me to do the math-- he gained 2lbs in ONE MONTH... oh my goodness!!!

After the sonogram I went to the Doctor's appointment- all is well but she wants me to have ANOTHER sonogram in 3 weeks. She says that he wants to keep a close eye on his development. I think she likes sonograms :P But it was good to see him and while they are uncomfortable it does make the wait a bit easier. I got a few pictures a real cute one of his foot- you can see his toes perfectly and the big one is even BIG haha... surprise right?

Now will come the nightmares about giving birth to a 15 pound baby... vaginally. It already hurts!

hahaha... well at least if he does end up being 15 pounds, they won't let you deliver naturally!!!

Hahaha Well he just can't be 15 pounds because that doesn't fit into my weight gain plan.. so we will just have to cross our fingers he isn't going to keep growing at this rate!
