14 Weeks

We are at the big 14 weeks - Baby is doing lots of fun stuff, other than growing and making my tummy muscles and uterus hurt as they stretch. Baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, possibly suck his thumb, grasp and baby's hands and feet are becoming more flexible and active, though it will be a couple more weeks till we can feel Baby's movement. Baby is stretching out and is 3 1/2 inches long and weighs an ounce and a half. All of baby's proportions are evening out- baby's body is now growing faster than her head, the arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body. (the legs still have some lengthening to do.) And even tho no baby in my family has been good at growing hair right away -- baby is starting to develop an ultra-fine, downy covering of hair, called lanugo, all over his body.

Baby is doing lots of work- I am also trying to get stuff done. I have applied of a few jobs- normal jobs with normal people. I really hope something comes through. I had picked out my crib and changing table. THEN my Mom showed me a similar set on-line that isn't exactly what I wanted for the crib, but it is the changing table/dresser and the right color and a good price. We are going to go look at it on Sunday. Now that my insurance is complete I am going to send in my form to deliver at Shawnee Mission Med. Center.

Now I am going to go eat something :)
