21 Weeks

Well I am a couple days late But - woo hoo 21 weeks! This week my little man is the size of a banana- 10.5 inches and is around 3/4 of a pound (13 ounces). His eyebrows and eyelids are now present. His taste buds are also developed, which is so cool. Now he is constantly swallowing and digesting several ounces of amniotic fluid a day, but since he now has developed tastebuds he can get a taste for the foods that I am eating. In my Child Psychology class I learned that you can even figure out what tastes your baby LIKES and DISLIKES by eatting sweet, sour, or even spicy food and then tracking the heartrate... haha but I am not a science experiment so I will just enjoy that my little man gets to develop a taste for all the wing sauce I am injesting- who would think that wing sauce is good with so many things!?!!

The last week I have been putting a lot of effort into finding a perfect name and I was going to do Sawyer Jay but due to events (or lack of events) I vetoed using Jay as the middle name- I spent several days looking over name books to find a good middle name but the ones I want to use don't sound good with the name Sawyer so then I tried a couple other names and made a decision about 5 days ago and I have talked to my family and some friends and I feel really good about it sooo:

Brayden Patrick McNellis

Obviously a lot more goes into a name than just oh that is a cool name- but we will see how this one sticks. The last couple weeks came the realization that not this is my decision alone. This is what I will call him and what is important to me and I dont need to make people happy who aren't interested in putting their heart into this little life.

This week I am going to attempt to make a final decision on his bedding set haha not as big of a decision but it is still hard :)
