23 Weeks!

I am now 23 weeks pregnant- which begins my 6th month of pregnancy. Things are getting pretty fun and while a lot of fun stuff is changing there are still so many things I have to look forward to in the next month- and the 4 months to come. My belly is growing more and more, which I am surprised to be so excited about. I was so nervous about weight gain, but I have really done a great job -so far- and the bigger and harder my belly gets the more excited I get about my little man!

This week my baby is over 11 inches and weights over a pound- till I am 25 weeks Baby is the size of a papaya. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, his ears are becoming more and more developed as he gets used to sounds in the outside world, and his sense of movement has also developed.

On Tuesday afternoon I will be having my THIRD sonogram. I am so excited to see him again! Hopefully this month he will be a little a little less stubborn so the Doctor can have all the measurements that she needs. Plus I would love to get all those little pictures of his arms and legs and another profile picture. At my doctor's appointment afterwards I am going to figure out when she thinks would be best for a 3-D Sonogram. I know it will be like sonogram crazy and I will seem like that crazy pregnant chick that just can't wait to see her baby BUT all these sonograms were FOR the doctor and I really want to do the 3-D one. Some people think they look funny, but I think they are awesome! Anyways that sonogram will probably be when I am 27 weeks; which is the end of September!

This weekend my niece is going to be baptised at Holy Cross. That is the same church that my sister's and I were each Baptised in and it is where I want my son to be baptised. Kinda cool to have pictures of me and my baby Baptised in the same place.

Time to rest up for a busy weekend. My mom and I are going to take some belly shots so I will post those for the people who don't have the oportunity to check out my baby bump! (i.e. kennedy :P )
