26 Weeks!

26 weeks- which makes it two weeks till I am in my third trimester and 14 weeks till my little boy is due. I have some how managed to get a whole bunch of days off... at least after this afternoon/evening when I finish my training class. That will give me 4 days off and I am hoping to get a few big things done. This weekend I want to talk my mom or sister into going with me to register at Babies-R-Us. I need to order the changing table/dresser and pick out a bedding set. I am also going to send in some of my more recent pictures so I can update my scrapbook. Nothing too overwhelming.... but will make me feel like I am getting there on the prepared scale. Next week I am getting the padding done under the carper in my room and then it will be time to set up the furniture.

This week- Baby is 1 2/3 pounds and he is 14 inches from head to heel. The nerves in his ears are getting more developed and sensitive, which means that at this point he can not only hear my voice but he can hear the voices around me. He is inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid which is essential for the development of his lungs but these breathing movements also prepare him for his first breath. This week my little man's testicles are descending into his scrotum- which takes 2-3 days.

Time to go get ready to educate new servers on the amazing ways of Fridays..... offer me $10 an hour and I will do about anything :P
