RYAN KENNEDY VELASCO!

I am soooo excited because this morning at 10:16 (Va time) Ryan Kennedy Velasco was born 8lbs 4oz and 21 inches. Yesterday my best friend Kennedy started having contractions early in the morning and all day and it wasn't till way early this morning that she went to the doctor. She did the best job ever of keeping me informed of everything that was going on: getting to the doctor, her water breaking, getting the epidural. This all began around 4am my time so with all that excitement and my little man bouncing all over my uterus there was about 3 hours I couldn't sleep, but once she got the epidural I knew it should be much smoother sailing and it was because it was only around 3 hours later she got that baby out!

The only downfall to having your best friend live thousands of miles away... I have to live through text message and pictures :( Not to mention ticket prices are awful and I am about to start my third trimester so I kinda need to stay grounded. But I am soo Sooo SOOO happy for their new little family! Her and Steve are going to be amazing parents- that baby girl doesn't realize how lucky she is! :)

RIGHT after getting the message about Baby Ryan being born I got a call from my doctor about my blood test from Tuesday. My Glucose test came up normal - yay no gestational diabetes for me! BUT it turns out that I am now anemic, because my little man is sucking up all my iron. They told me that there is an iron supplement that I need to start taking and in a few weeks I will be fine. It does explain sleeping (or trying to sleep) all morning and afternoon. I just figured it was part of pregnancy and I was going to be tired- nope that would be the lack of iron making me tired. Opps!

Now I must go to the store and buy little girl clothes for Baby Ryan.. and Baby Gap also has a Star Wars onesie which I MUST get for my little man! hehe Maybe I will get the Batman one too if I am feeling like blowing lots of money! How can you not love Babies?? Especially in vintage style 80s logo outfits! My Baby will be the coolest guy on the block!
