I can't believe Sawyer is 3 weeks old... I can't believe it has been 3 weeks at all!! Today we went to my 2 weeks appointment, which I am having at 3 weeks because of all the holidays scheduling was difficult. The Doctor checked my incision and I am feeling pretty good, still cramping a bit and the incision itself hurts, but I am trying to take things fairly easy so I don't cause myself too much pain. She said everything looks good and I will come in at the end of January for my final check up. We also discussed birth control options and I am thinking I am going to get some sort of IUD put in but I am going to study my pamphlets and see. Granted I am single and have a newborn so I don't think I will be having sex any time soon but I don't need to take any chances since we all know I am not a fan of BC as it is... haha.
I wish I could give some big update about my baby but he is brand new and so as soon as I understand what HE wants his routine to be he changes it- growth spurts, irritability, gassiness, or just being tired can change our whole day. And if he goes one night without sleeping his whole cycle has changed... so I can't really say how things are going other than that we are just rolling with the punches and spend a lot of time on the couch or rocking on the glider. He is spoiled during the day since he spends most of it being held and I do my best to keep him in his crib at night, which he does pretty well at unless it is an extra difficult night.
I must hurry and eat before he realizes it is almost time for him to eat and I have to wait another hour till it is my turn...
